Organizers

PICOF'02 will be held, just like the first edition, in the wonderful Beït El Hikma Palace, in Carthage.

The organizers are ENIT , INRIA and UTC. More precisely, teams which are going to take actually care of the organization task are :

Founded in 1969, the Tunis National School of Engineering (ENIT) is now part of the Tunis El Manar University Schools. More than 50% of tunisian engineers graduated from ENIT in Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering.

Created in 1997 under this label, the Mathematical and Numerical Modelling in Engineering Sciences Laboratory (LAMSIN) is result of the evolution of several research teams in Applied Mathematics which followed each other within ENIT. It is now the main Applied Mathematics Laboratory in Tunisia, the single one that has been so labelled by the Scientific Research Secretary of State in 1999, and accordingly funded - 20 researchers and 15 Ph. D. fellows belong to LAMSIN, they are splitted up into 3 groups :

  1. Identification, Optimization and Inverse Probelms
  2. Control and Shape Optimization
  3. Environment and process

Groups 1 and 2 are concerned by PICOF.

Development

The Conference will hold in Beït El Hikma Palace, April 10, 11 and 12, 2002

Schedule

December 15, 2001 : Deadline for the extended abstracts (4 to 6 pages in a format to be precised later on, to be sent to jerome.jaffre@inria.fr). The abstracts will be grathered in a volume to be delivered to the participants at the opening of the Conference.

March 30, 2002 : Deadline to receive the full papers.

April 10, 2002 : Opening of PICOF'02.

Proceedings

Proceedings will be published in a special issue of Esaim Proceedings.
